Senior Business Development Executive (Full Time, Chicago)

The role of Senior Business Development Executive of Workplace Learning is a critical role within the Webanywhere team.  The Senior Business Development Executive is responsible for representing sales, marketing and client services at the executive level of the organization. The Senior Business Development Executive is also responsible for ensuring the profitability of work undertaken by the Workplace Learning division for our clients. This individual will report to the Vice President of Workplace Learning in the UK. Our USA office is based in Fulton Market in the West Loop of Chicago.

We are looking for someone who is curious, proactive, fun and flexible to take Webanywhere on it's next phase of growth in USA. We recently won a Gold Brandon Hall Excellence award in Unique Learning Technology for our work with our client JetBlue, and we have an enviable customer base of Fortune 500 customers. 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Proactively plan, deliver and review the division's effectiveness in line with division targets, outputs and outcomes

  • Maintain effective communications with the Vice President and other managers, employees and clients

  • Manage, monitor and maintain budgets agreed by the Vice President and take corrective action in conjunction with the Managing Director or their designated financial representative

  • Adhere to, and implement, all HR policies and procedures

  • Actively market our solutions and build strong relationships with clients and prospective clients by creating trust and confidence at multiple levels

  • Maintain and improve professional knowledge and competence

  • Hit sales revenue targets for key vertical markets and territories following the company business plan

  • Continue growth of Webanywhere's most valuable clients

  • Generate leads through professional networking

  • Lead the complete sales cycle from opportunity identification to contract negotiation and close by working with clients, prospects, Webanywhere's development team and solution experts

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • 5+ years previous business development experience

  • Proven record of strong sales results where the individual has met and/or exceeded annual goals and has been a valued contributor

  • Strong knowledge of sales process of eLearning technologies in the corporate market, in particular with Fortune 500 companies

  • Proven record of prospecting new clients or prospecting within existing clients at senior levels of organizations

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and to international teams

  • Teamwork oriented

  • Tech savvy and strong knowledge of the latest market trends
