Asquith Primary School Mobile App, School Jotter Website, SIMS Integration, and Modules
“Parental engagement was a main priority for us this year, and the mobile app has really helped us to achieve that. Not only that, but we’ve saved a fortune since launching the app” - Asquith School.
Asquith Primary School is a state school educating students aged 5 - 11. They have been happy Webanywhere customers since 2012.
Asquith Primary School were having issues communicating with parents. Newsletters were often unread by many parents and very few of them had time to check the website, which meant many pupils were missing out on events like non-uniform day or an event.
The mobile app helped to bridge the gap between Asquith and parents, by allowing them to send alerts and other information directly to their phones. Receiving an overwhelming amount of positive feedback from parents, they are now more informed about what is going on at school, as well as more of them being driven to the website when they went to look into matters of interest in more detail. The Jotter website and mobile products work hand-in-hand.
What Asquith had to say
“We love the mobile app and have received loads of great feedback from parents. They especially love the notifications and calendars, as it makes school information so much more accessible. It is simple and easy-to-use, which is great - if I can use it, anyone can. The app has helped us to achieve our aim of improving communication with parents, and has even enticed more people to our website. I can even access it from my phone, so if I need to send an urgent message from home, I can. We have also saved a fortune with the mobile app, as we no longer have to print lots of newsletters and it's cheaper than SMS messaging.”
“We already had a Jotter Website with Webanywhere and saw the mobile app as a great opportunity to help us better communicate with parents. We love the new updates and find the products so easy to use. When one updates, so does the other, which makes keeping the website updated so much easier.”
After mentioning the Radio Aire Toy appeal in the newsletter on their Mobile app, Asquith Primary School managed to gather lots of great toys for the appeal and helped them to reach a record number of donations! The appeal aims to help disadvantaged families and children in hospital over the Christmas period. Well done to all staff and students at Asquith for your help and generosity.
